The collaboration with Balinese artisans
The lamps produced by Anima Soul Light are made jointly with Balinese artisans to give a voice to their customs’ beautiful and complex system. The designers purposely chose each line and material during the design process with only one purpose: to offer the customers an original product that connects contemporary design with the unique and millennial spirit of the Pacific island.
Women and the art of weaving
The most crucial role in this design project is given to Balinese women, who carry on the community’s family tradition, especially in weaving (one of the key characteristics that mark the Anima Soul Light lamps).

Moreover, the pendants in the selection are heartily handmade by a group of women who were raised to learn and master the ability to weave ceremonial dresses made in satin since they were children.
That is the reason why the small group of Italian designers that began to move their first step to building the Anima Soul Light company decided to opt for satin weave as the primary material of their pendants. Moreover, this fabric has two pros, aesthetically speaking:

Balinese natural and traditional images
The majestic island of Bali, which you can find in the Indonesian archipelago, is a land full of traditions, boundless green landscapes, and passionate people who wish to let the world know how rich and magnificent their history and culture are.
Anima Soul Lights intended to create linear design lamps that could recall some of the most notorious elements the Indonesian island is known for, such as its volcanoes or temples.
For example, the Agung lamp is one of the most bought in the collection. Its conical shape resembles the structure of Mount Agung (from which the pendant takes its name) that it’s believed to be the axis of the Universe in Bali’s religious system.Instead, the Anima Soul Light’s “Tanah Lot” lamp is a modern interpretation of one of the most notorious temples on the Balinese island, the “Purah Tanah Lot.” The pendant recalls the incredible tidal phenomenon and its shape: a giant circle that is an extension of the sunlight and in which the light gathers and becomes part of the very body of water.
